Whats with all these dog? Cats rule, dogs drool
Snowball, adopted the Sharps this year and he knows who rules the house. To get attention, sleep on the scanner, smack the clock hands and steal the pens off the computer desk

RC Model Boating Area
Hi all
I have some good news. An RC model boating area is being established at Lake Gregory near the south parking area. The area is from the new fence going about 200 ft. along the shore and wall to the sand bar. A sign will posted showing that it is for RC model boating, RC sailboats and slow electric.

The area will be open to the public year-round with LGYC having some input as to how to have a retrieval boat, permanent race course, flag pole, etc. Their will be more details to come.

Put your thinking caps on as to how we can use the area to benefit our community and friends down the hill, further the experience, exposure, and sport of the wonderful world of model yachting--be it radio controlled sailing, racing, scale working models, or slow electric (sorry no gas).

I would like to thank some club members that helped make it happen.

QUEEN MARY ANNOUNCEMENT

73rd Anniversary Queen Mary

BLOODY MARY COCKTAIL AT 1936 PRICES - 36 CENTS

You are invited to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the Queen Mary's Maiden Voyage from Southampton, England to New York City.

  • She embarked on her Maiden Voyage as the most anticipated ship in history. Her size, speed and splendor were unmatched by any ship constructed at the time. The rich and famous graced her decks and tickets were sold months, sometimes years in advance.

  • The Observation Bar is original to the ship and was one of the most popular locations on board during her sailing years. The art deco furnishings and half moon architecture made the perfect setting for a night cap.

In celebration, our signature cocktail - the Bloody Mary - will be 36 cents in the Observation Bar on Wednesday May 27th, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

We will also be serving the regular drink & appetizer menu. The special 36 cent Bloody Mary is limit one per person.
