2010 Newport to Ensenada Race kick off party with Captain and crew of Attitude Adjustment II

Most of the community will be shocked to know that the mountain is represented in the yachting world - in two races in 2006 involving more than 500 boats, the Lake Gregory entry "Attitude Adjustment' took 2nd place. Owned by LGYC Jr. Staff Commodore Rick & Marlyn Dinon and with some local crew including Dennis Sharp, Andy Eason (The Donut Den) and Jim McDonald, we salute you. BRAVO to our past Commodore

NOTE - 2008 Race Results - 1st Place

About LGYC

LGYC's Description:

Lake Gregory Yacht Club (LGYC) is primarily a social organization with a philanthropic aspect serving the mountain communities. The club was formed in 2004 by five Crestline residents and has grown in the years following. Membership is by invitation and requires a modest application fee and pro-rated annual dues. All member families are required to purchase a club-approved one-design radio controlled sailboat. Business meetings are held quarterly and members meet once to twice a month. The club is a 501 C-7 Corporation and has a logo, URL, Federal tax ID number, banking account and flag-burgee.

LGYC's Purpose:

LGYC exists to enable mountain families to share social and boating-related experiences. The club makes annual financial donations to mountain charitable/civic organizations in an amount consistent with membership size and encourages civic involvement and volunteerism. Memberships are in family units and activities are family-oriented. The short-range objective is to bring a boating experience to mountain families and their children. LGYC supports, by member participation the Boys & Girls Clubs in the San Bernardino mountain communities.

2012 is LGYC's eighth year in operation. Many items on the 2012 agenda involve the community. We are excited about bringing the younger members of our community together for sailing lessons by our members .
