Crestline, CA – The 4th Annual Crestline Gardens Eclectic Tour offered roughly 100 participants a look beyond the garden gate of five diverse gardens from Cedarpines Park to San Moritz. The self-guided tour, sponsored by the Crestline Community Development Alliance, started at the Crestline Chamber of Commerce where wristbands were purchased allowing entrance to each garden. "Smooth Sailing" was the theme of the garden staffed by members of the Lake Gregory Yacht Club on Tyrol Court that featured geraniums and columbine to Spanish broom to roses. From stem to stern the garden included everything from snapdragons and pansies to scarecrows and an old railroad crossing sign that immediately caught the attention of visitors. Even Yacht Club Commodore Carol Sharp was on hand to welcome guests as they walked down the entrance to the garden complete with rope railing and boat cutouts on the posts.
